Cuando visitas Lago Verde te encuentras con un lugar maravilloso, con gente trabajadora y sencilla en donde concentra su mayor actividad económica basada en la ganaderia y las cosechas de forraje, tiene un lago de 23 kms cuadrados con abundante pesca de percas truchas, sus aguas son de color turquesa por el sedimento del rio El Turbio, el cual trae consigo deshielos de Glaciares del Parque Nacional Queulat.

Lago verde  esta hubicado al Nor Este de la Region a 370 km de Coyhaique y 70 kms de La Junta. Es uno de los  lugares mas hermosos de la región de Aysen y que debes visitar y conose. Su cultura gaucha es influenciada por la cercania con la frontera Argentina distante  a 3 km del pueblo.
